Answered prayer

I'm so happy! Yesterday morn Mom msged me to ask me if I've got plans to get engaged this year....my reply was "no plans, tho I really wish to...", then she said "den get engaged on 23 Oct, your birthday"...Ironically, it was that very morn that I was looking at a 2006 year planner, marking out all the public holidays, and found that my birthday this year is on a monday before Hari Raya Puasa. I'm planning to take leave on that day and was just thinking to myself how nice it would be to get engaged on that day!

I don't call this a coincidence...Mom told me she sounded me out to sorta get a confirmation if this was a prompting, and we're pretty sure it was. I'm just so happy that God has really answered my prayer...He knows my heart's desire although I didn't say it out....

I have been quietly praying to Him about this and was holding the attitude of "My plans, God's time and God's resources".....I thank God for the wonderful timing, cos this answer came in the midst of uncertainties for both myself and Hun in terms of our career.

We want our marriage to be a testimony to God and a blessing to others.....we have been praying and trying our best not to take things into our own hands, trying our best to honour our parents....we're not perfect, but we have really been trying.

Thank God that He cares for me even in small ways...Looking forward to my birthday this year :) May You, O Lord, continue to lead us as we plan for our marriage!
